I, Cori L. McGuire, am a barrister and solicitor in the Province of British Columbia. My law practice focuses primarily on family law issues such as separation, divorce, custody, access, maintenance, guardianship, and property division.
Prior to practicing law, I spent a decade in university studying business, law and society. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, a Masters Degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Western Ontario in London.
I also have the rich education afforded by virtue of my role as a wife and mother of four children, including one step child. I have developed a first-hand understanding of the stress and anxiety families experience today. Although I did not cause the stress to my clients’ families, as their lawyer, I endeavor not to exacerbate the stress. I am committed to the collaborative model of family law as a method of empowering my clients and restoring harmony to their family during a time of transition.
I have previously worked at two Kelowna law firms: Salloum Doak and Christiansen, Newcombe & Kennedy.
