Cindy graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1979. She then was a Law Clerk for Judges in the Supreme Court of British Columbia for one year prior to being called to the Bar in 1980. After practicing in Vancouver for several years Cindy relocated to Kelowna in 1987 and has practiced exclusively in the Family Law area for the past 23 years.
Cindy’s experience includes all areas of Family Law, that is, divorce, custody and access to children, child and spousal support, division of property and adoption work. She is an experienced court lawyer as well as a trained mediator. While some cases by necessity of their facts must be dealt with in court, she believes that the majority of Family cases can be and should be resolved in a less adversarial way whether it be negotiation, mediation or collaboration.
Cindy is an advocate of the Collaborative Law process which promotes a fair outcome and provides a much less stressful environment in which the parties can work out a resolution.
